Maksim podorozkin - insignificant

Insignificant

Looking up at the sky, be it night or day, makes me wonder how vast the universe is. Scientists say that the observable universe is 93 billion light years away. Just think about how far that is. How many galaxies are undiscovered? Atoms colliding? Suns exploding? Black holes devouring planets like dust? And while all of this is happening, here we are. A speck on the timeline. Less than a grain of sand.

Even on our planet, we are but a small part of the grand scheme of the ecological system. The trees stand tall and strong. The mountains are unmovable. But yet we are part of it.

When I think about this I always get a feeling of insignificance and that is what I wanted to portray in this project. I want to demonstrate how vast the world around us is compared to us. Be it the water streams that are thousands of miles long, the trees that are tall as buildings, and what huge scapes we inhabit together.
